Understanding the Mystery of Living Cells
Plant Cell
I am a type of Eukaryotic Cell
Plant cells are eukaryotic cells or cells with membrane bound nucleus. Generally, plant cells are larger than animal cells and are mostly similar in size and are rectangular or cube shaped. They have several structures not found in other eukaryotes. In particular, organelles called chloroplasts allow plants to capture the energy of the Sun in energy-rich molecules, the cell walls allow plants to have rigid structures as varied as wood trunks and supple leaves and large vacuoles allow plant cells to change size.
